Salute to Beth Franklin, Founder Hand-In-Paw
Thirteen years ago, Beth Franklin founded Hand-In-Paw because of her passion for animal-assisted therapy and her belief in an animal's ability to help people heal. During this time, Hand-In-Paw has become a financially stable, vibrant organization, staffed with talented people and blessed with a dedicated group of volunteers - all who are committed to work in our community each and every day.
Beth will soon begin a new career as the Senior Development Director for the UAB School of Nursing, once again combining her special talents with a place in her heart; this time for Nurses. As she says, "I'll always be grateful for the comfort and gentle care provided by these angels in white, and I welcome an opportunity to raise funds to address the nursing shortage our country faces."
Beth requests our same loving support of Hand-In-Paw throughout a transition that will be made smooth by the leadership in place. "I cherish the unwavering belief you have in Hand-In-Paw's mission and trust that you will join me in continuing this life-changing work."
