Naked Art in Forest Park!
In the Southeast corner of Birmingham, there is a street named Clairmont, and on that street a whole village of shops, restaurants, art galleries, coffee shops, grocery stores - and a little house called Naked Art, all residing happily in this area known as Forest Park.
On January 15, we came for the Third Friday in Forest Park, strolling up and down the streets and watching to see where the people went. That was easy, they went everywhere - to all the shops, restaurants, and galleries. So we chose to go spend a little time in Naked Art, USA.

Naked Art is not your typical gallery. Its colorful walls and its fun and unique approach to art has caught the attention of many publications, including the cable channel Turner South and the national travel guide, "Eccentric America". Naked Art was awarded "Best of The Road" by the Rand McNally Atlas. It was featured in delta Sky magazine, and even mentioned as a cool place to shop in the New York Times and Time Out New York. Naked Art was also features twice last year in the USA Today "Pop Candy" blog.
The name "Naked Art" was chosen because we want you to understand and appreciate all of the artists' work with the "naked eye", without intimidating, "hi-brow" hidden meanings. We simply want everyone to feel good about being here and to just enjoy the gallery's vibrancy. We also make a real effort to keep the prices reasonable becausewe strongly feel that art should be within everyone's reach.
It's such a wonderful feeling to take a piece home knowing that it's one of a kind!
