Sunday, April 20, The Birmingham Zoo opened its doors for Community Day - The Annual Earth Day Celebration! Admission was FREE to everyone - and people poured in from all over the state. A gorgeous day, with lions and tigers and bears - and camels, and monkeys, and geese. It was also heart-warming to see the Magic City's diversity so well represented. This is what the "Magic" is all about - White, Black, Brown, Yellow, Young, Old...and children enjoying every minute of it. If you missed it, make plans to attend the Zoo soon. We really have a lot of everything!
